Fanny Price has always felt like a stranger. She was adopted by her uncle as a child and now lives in luxury at Mansfield Park, but does not seem to fit in somehow. Shyer and much sweeter than the glamorous cousins, she grew up with, she feels the only thing she can do is to stand by and watch behind the scenes, never living her own life. Fanny will not admit it, not even to herself who it is she really loves. Her uncle leads the search for a husband as if it were a business, and when the time comes for Fanny to marry, will it be arranged on a handshake? Or will she have the strength to make her own mistakes - and finally find true happiness?
